Join us to explore the book, Rethinking Disability and Mathematics, by Rachel Lambert. Let’s make the math classroom a place where students with disabilities and neurodiversity uncover their strengths and find meaningful and joyful learning in math.
This 'Day 1' workshop is designed for teachers who have NOT yet read the book, or have just started reading the book, and want to learn more about Rachel Lambert’s research. Discussions will be based around the need for shifting our misconceptions around math, disability, and instructional practice, as well as how to implement using Universal Design for Learning for Math (UDL Math) to support all students.
