Join us to explore the book, Rethinking Disability and Mathematics, by Rachel Lambert. Let’s make the math classroom a place where students with disabilities and neurodiversity uncover their strengths and find meaningful and joyful learning in math.

This 'Day 2' workshop is designed for teachers who HAVE read the book and want to learn more about implementation strategies in the classroom. Discussions will be focused around real life classroom stories and best practice for math instruction to support all students.

OBJECTIVES

• Explore core ideas, fact fluencies, designing an inclusive classroom, and rethinking assessments and IEP goals.
• Learn to create inclusive math classrooms that celebrate students' strengths and foster a sense of identity as math learners.
• Get practical strategies for applying UDL Math in K-8 classrooms and hear real-life examples of how teachers redesigned their classrooms and increased access for all students.
