Restorative Practices focuses on building a community, growing positive relationships, resolving conflict, repariing harm and healing relationships. Restorative Practices offer an alternative to traditional punitive disciplinary actions that often lead to disproportionately punishing students from marginalized groups. Educators, leaders, and school teams are encouraged to take part in this interactive dynamic training.

Objective

Understand the foundation and key aspects of how to apply the Restorative Practices continuum
Learn how to use Affective Statements as a communication and relationship building strategy
Learn how to use Restorative Questions as a tool to help youth restore relationships when harm has occurred by a youth’s behavior or actions
Understand, learn, and practice how to incorporate Community Circles into your classrooms and school programs
Plan for implementation of Restorative Practices within your school district educational setting

1 Day Restorative Training in-person at CESA 6, 2300 State Rd 44, Oshkosh, WI
Cost: $225/per person
Includes all training materials (books, posters, resources)
Registration should be made for each individual
participant and districts are encouraged to attend with
a school team

CESA 6 accepts credit card payments for all event registrations. If you are unable to complete your registration using a credit card events@cesa6.org.

Alternative payment methods of a purchase order may be approved under the following circumstances:

Registration fees exceed $1,000
A specific funding source is being used (e.g., Title funds)
Your school district requires use of an internal payment process

Please note if an alternative payment is needed, a purchase order must be received before your registration can be confirmed. All registrations must be finalized before the event date.
