## Math Manipulatives and Models in High School Math Courses

This workshop is designed for high school teachers who want to deepen their understanding of the concrete–representational–abstract (CRA) progression in secondary math and explore practical ways to make higher-level mathematics more concrete, accessible, and engaging for students.

**OBJECTIVES**

- Understand the CRA Framework: Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the concrete–representational–abstract progression and its role in fostering conceptual understanding in secondary mathematics.
- Integrate Manipulatives and Visuals: Teachers will identify and utilize appropriate concrete tools (e.g., manipulatives) and representational aids (e.g., diagrams, models) to bridge to abstract thinking.
- Collaborate and Share Best Practices: Participants will engage in collaborative activities to share and refine CRA-based lesson ideas and resources for secondary math instruction.
