This half-day Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Education workshop is for anyone  who is new to utilizing AI.  We will explore the history of AI and its impacts to education. Join us and learn about prompting strategies utilizing four popular AI tools.

Objectives

• Understand the Context of AI in Education: Describe the foundational history and discuss the current and potential impacts of Artificial Intelligence on the educational landscape.
• Develop Effective Prompting Strategies: Formulate and apply strategic prompting techniques necessary for generating useful and relevant AI outputs.
• Apply AI Tools for Educational Tasks: Utilize the learned prompting strategies within at least four popular AI tools to achieve specific educational goals.
• Critically Evaluate AI Integration: Identify appropriate and effective applications of AI tools within their own professional context (e.g., planning, instruction, assessment) as a novice user.
