High School educators are navigating an evolving landscape in literacy instruction, marked by new expectations and shifting priorities.  THis workshop is thoughtfully designed to support teachers in meeting these challenges head-on.  Participants will explore the changing demands of the ACT to determine where instruction must adapt to meet college and career readiness benchmarks.  Through hands-on learning, educators will engage with high-leverage instructional routines and strategies to connect instruction to ACT expectations.

OBJECTIVES 

• Understand ACT 2026 changes in English, Reading, and Writing—and how those shifts affect classroom instruction.
  
• Translate ACT reporting categories and question stems into daily standards-aligned teaching practices. 
• Embed ACT skills into instruction using high-leverage routines instead of isolated test prep.
  
• Strengthen student ACT performance and confidence through targeted, incremental practice.
• Leave with an ACT-aligned action plan built through collaboration with colleagues.

• Cost*: $500 per person
  *Each participant is required to purchase a copy of the High-Leverage Instructional Routines Toolkit for 6th - 12th Grades ($59 for a digital download)
