Are your math scores not where you want them to be? As a principal, you are expected to lead in all academic areas, but as you have likely experienced, leading in mathematics is hard! Teachers discuss subitizing, math practice standards, NCTM resources, vertical-surface problem-solving, four different ways to multiply, and you might feel like you can’t fully engage because of a lack of background knowledge and understanding of the latest in teaching mathematics. The CESA 6 Math Leadership Project offers a dynamic virtual professional development series for school principals and teachers, focusing on cutting-edge strategies, research, and initiatives in K-12 Mathematics, fostering collaborative understanding, growth, and non-intimidating problem-solving experiences.
