Participants will be able to understand the role of a mentor, focusing on how to gather evidence of effective practice that engages initial educators in collaborative feedback conversations that will help them better understand job expectations and be supported as they progress toward effectiveness.

OBJECTIVES

• Equip mentors with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively support and guide mentees in an educational setting.
• Develop strong communication and active listening skills to foster trust and positive mentor–mentee relationships.
• Build problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to address common mentoring challenges. 
• Enhance mentors’ ability to identify and respond to diverse learning needs, challenges, and backgrounds.
